Copyright & Takedown Policy
This policy explains how 168Property.my handles copyright complaints, listing concerns, privacy requests, fake listing reports, and content removal requests.
1. Purpose of This Policy
168Property.my is a Malaysia property listing and information platform. Property listings, photos, descriptions, contact details, agent profiles, and other content may be submitted by agents, owners, developers, representatives, or third parties.
This policy explains how we may review and respond to complaints or removal requests involving copyright, privacy, ownership disputes, fake listings, unauthorized photos, copied descriptions, incorrect information, or other listing concerns.
2. User-Submitted Content
Users who submit listings, photos, descriptions, contact details, agent information, or other materials to 168Property.my are responsible for ensuring that the content is accurate, lawful, authorized, and not misleading.
Users must not upload or submit any photo, description, floor plan, document, logo, contact detail, or personal information unless they own it or have permission to use it.
3. Copyright Complaints
If you believe that your copyrighted photo, text, floor plan, logo, document, or other material has been used on 168Property.my without permission, you may send us a copyright complaint.
To help us review the matter, please provide:
- Your full name and contact information.
- The URL of the page or listing involved.
- A clear description of the copyrighted material.
- Proof that you own the material or are authorized to act for the owner.
- A short explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized.
4. Privacy or Personal Data Removal Requests
If your phone number, WhatsApp number, email address, name, photo, or other personal information appears on 168Property.my without permission, you may contact us to request review, correction, or removal.
We may ask for reasonable verification to confirm your identity, authority, or relationship to the information before taking action.
5. Fake Listing, Wrong Information, or Ownership Disputes
If you believe a listing is fake, misleading, duplicated, unauthorized, no longer available, using the wrong photos, showing the wrong price, or connected to a property ownership dispute, you may report it to us.
Please provide the listing URL, reason for the complaint, and any supporting information that helps us review the issue.
6. Our Review and Action
After receiving a complaint or removal request, 168Property.my may review the information provided and may take action at our discretion.
Depending on the situation, we may:
- Ask the complainant for more information.
- Ask the listing submitter for verification or proof of authority.
- Edit, hide, suspend, restrict, or remove the listing or content.
- Disable, limit, or suspend an account if misuse is suspected.
- Decline a request if there is not enough information or if the request appears unreasonable, abusive, false, or unsupported.
7. Temporary Removal During Review
In some cases, 168Property.my may temporarily hide or restrict content while a complaint, copyright claim, privacy request, fraud report, or ownership dispute is being reviewed.
This does not mean we have made a final decision about the dispute. It is a platform safety step to reduce legal, privacy, user, and website risk.
8. Repeat Misuse
If a user repeatedly submits unauthorized, copied, fake, misleading, infringing, or problematic content, 168Property.my may restrict, suspend, or remove the user’s listings, account, or access to website features.
9. No Legal Decision by 168Property.my
168Property.my is not a court, legal authority, property ownership authority, copyright tribunal, lawyer, broker, or government body. We cannot make final legal decisions about ownership, copyright, fraud, property rights, or legal disputes.
Our role is to manage website content and platform risk. Parties involved in serious disputes should seek professional legal advice or contact the relevant authority.
10. False or Abusive Requests
Users and complainants must submit truthful and reasonable complaints. 168Property.my may ignore, reject, or take action against complaints that appear false, abusive, threatening, misleading, malicious, repetitive, or intended to harm another user unfairly.
